    New member introduction

Hello, just joined the forum, always looking for new ideas. I'm a retired truck shop supervisor/manager with a home (basement) work shop with a Grizzly G0755 mill/drill, Grizzly G4003G lathe, Grizzly H7762 tool grinder, 8 in. bench grinder, Jet JSG-6DCK combination 6x48 belt w/ 12 in. disc sander. Ridgid 14 in. band saw, 12 in. cut off saw, 12 in. miter saw, and numerous power bench and hand tools. Recently (2013) experienced a fire in my basement work shop due to a ext. cord connected to a trickle charger on my Harley, which destroyed much of the equipment and tools in the shop as well as 2 Harleys and a 4 wheeler. I am still in the process of rebuilding my work shop.
One you tube video of a home made lathe tool grinding jig brought me your forum, but I am having difficulty in locating it, if anyone has any info on it I would appreciate the assistance.
    Many thanks
    Chuck

Yes Jon, that is the video that I was referring to, thought maybe there might be a set of plans floating around here since the maker of the video referred to a Homemadetools.net member as the originator or the project. Even if I don't find plans for this project, I am glad to have found the forum, I love DIY ideas.
    Thanks
    Chuck

    Hi Chuck,

Welcome - glad to have you here!

Sorry to hear about your fire. I've used a trickle charger in the past on various motorcycles, but you've got me thinking twice about leaving it connected on my project car.

What's next on your building list (other than the lathe tool grinding jig)?

    Ken
