Hi, interesting site, I have been looking for help with building my own machines, it seems there are many like minded ones out there.
My latest is to use a motor from an old compound mitre saw and build a sanding machine. looking for any ideas from those who have managed this please.
Many thanks if you are able to help.

Hi Dave - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

The sanding machine sounds interesting. I would suggest posting a new discussion in the Tools in Progress subforum, and I'm sure you'll be able to collect some ideas.

    Hi Dave,

    Welcome!

That does sound intriguing. Are you envisioning some sort of reciprocating sanding action?

A sander would be a very useful and versatile thing to have. Looking forward to see it built. Welcome!
