I started by experimenting to forge cable into a knife blade..it seems I did succeed since I managed to forge one blade already but need to build the sanding/grinding machine to continue with the process..I believe all will fall into place soon...

Welcome to the forums, Gert! Haven't heard of cable being used as a knife material before, and would sure be interested in seeing how you do it.

As pointed out before , I am a novice to forging , cable is the medium I like would like to work in since it is cheap and affordable...as I am a novice to knife making these two processes are new to me but I like to keep going at it ..somewhere I will have success..I wil upload photos as I am able to make progress...
