    New To Homemade tools

Hi my name is Dave I stumbled across this site and am very pleased as to the content in all these pages. I currently live in Northeast Pa with my wife. I am a Mechanic/Machinist by trade and by hobby. I currently am in the middle of building a 3 point hitch backhoe for my tractor. I have built several in the past but to only improve on the next one. I enjoy building things that normally would cost excessive amounts of money. I justify having them by building them myself. Last year I made a slip roll used it once and it has been on the shelf ever since. Made a log splitter for the tractor once got rid of the wood stove and sold the splitter. My most useful item I ever made for my tractor is the attachment to the loader with a set of forklift forks they are a vey helpful tool for me. In the warmer weather I usually leave them on the tractor 90% of the time. I guess I have said enough tooting my own horn for a while. I look forward to the interesting pages I will find in this forum

Hi Dave - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

You're right, a lot of the fun ends once the tool is built.

Post some pics if you have any, I'm sure people would like to check out some of your work, especially your progress on the 3 point hitch backhoe.

    Hi Dave,

    Welcome!

Toot away - we're glad to hear about your work. Let's definitely see some pics of the backhoe…

Welcome to the forums, Dave! Looks like you've already got quite a few builds you can show us. I look forward to seeing them.
