    New guy from Toronto

Hi folks, as the title reads. Brand spanking new.
Just a hack really, hoping to change that.
So I'll jump right in. I am a hobbyist who is building an exoskeletal armour based on the War-Machine from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This will be made of steel, aluminum and titanium. This is a wearable armour that will boast a full range of motion with lights sounds and servo motors.
This is going to take a lot of time, thought, sweat and tears.
I am not an engineer nor am I a machinist, to be honest most would probably see me as a hack lol.
Many disciplines will be incorporated into this build. Cost of tools are killing me, as well as the size of some tools.
I live in a small space and the limitations of storage and workspace is very real.
Anyway I am very glad to be a part of your group...
I had failed to mention that with this build I require tools that aren't easily available, thus my need for this great place...

Whoa! Do you have some photos of similar exoskeletons that you are working with for ideas?

The 2 helmet picks are of my own design which I will change slightly, a 3d printed helmet.
The other 2 picks are reference picks only.
I'm building it in a cave from a box of scraps.

When you need help in figuring out how to build your iron man suit there are a lot of guys here with mechanical actuation systems as well as some with robotics experience.
Personally as a retired industrial design engineer I just think the idea is super cool.
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

Thanks Frank I most certainly will do that. Next month I am attending an annual metal meet that I've attended the last 2 years and I'm hoping to gain some ground with getting this started.
I will start a thread in the Homemade creations section as an ongoing WIP with lots of pics.
The title of the thread is: Evolution of the War-Machine
Keep an eye out for it as it will definitely be different than the norm. Besides I could really use the criticism and suggestions. Things that I may have not considered lol...
