New Guy from Fort Lupton Colorado

    Hi,
My name is Bill Kutz, (Rhymes with boots), and 'm new here.
All my life I have had to make tools and fixtures for different things. Later, I became an engineer/machinist, and used what I had learned to be able to repair some totally different machines. I worked on projects that went from huge secret airplanes, to steam engines/turbines, to making plastic injection molds. For many years I ran a refrigeration repair service, and a Chimney Sweep service.
I was forced to retire in 2010 due to my neuropathy. I do not have Diabetes, so I don't fall in that little neat fold that all the doctors try and make you fit.
I am now starting some woodworking. I have ran across old tools that I have had to repair, but I am defiantly saving some bucks. I also have 9 rescued doggy Furbabies, 6 feral cats, and 19 peacocks.
Also, I am using wood that has been tossed, and I am pretty amazed at what people throw away. I hope to find some good ideas on this site, and if I can help anyone, please drop me a line.
    Thank you,
    Bill Kutz

    Hi Bill,

    Welcome!

Sounds as though you had a long and interesting career with lots of skills and experience to share. Let's see some pics of the tools you've repaired.

What sort of woodworking are you enjoying at the moment?
