    New Guy

Bob Riley in San Marcos, TX. Own a auto tranmission shop; also rebuild our torque converters. Came down with prostate cancer in '99, 6-yrs of surgery's to repair "complications". Came back to limited work in '07. Shut down the large scale converter work. Now just me in my small machine shop where I buld hi-stall converts for off-road/racing. I have several lathes, mill, couple of shapers, too many automotive machines Yes, I make a lot of tools & machines; but I always enjoy going to another shop to snoop around for better gismo's or things I need to build. This site is great, thanks for posting, I should say sharing, your ideas with all of us. Sancho

    Hi Bob,

    Welcome!

Glad to hear that you've made a recovery from your medical travails - and that you've found our little corner of the web. If you haven't already done so, have a look at our Machining category. You might find one or two interesting ideas there...

When you're ready to share some of your own homemade tools, we'd love to see them. Please post them directly in the Homemade Tools subforum. We'll add each one to the database, as well as to your builder page on the site.

Non-tool items should be shared in the Not a Tool, but Homemade subforum.

    Ken
