Hello to everyone on the forum. It was good to see so many people interested in making their own tools as I have been doing this type of interesting activity for years. One of the best lessons I've learned is that my way is far from the only way to do things and when I slow down and listen or read there are very many great ideas that I can borrow accomplish my goals more efficiently and certainly cheaper if I don't have to buy new equipment. I look forward to mining this site for all the jewels of information it contains and I hope to make new friends in the process.

Non-tool items should be shared in the Not a Tool, but Homemade subforum.

Thanks for the welcome,
I will be posting some photos when I return from my Christmas visit with my son and grand daughters. Basically I am very into CNC engraving and built my own to engrave my wife's poetry (she paints and writes) and to suppliment that tool I want to convert a B&D valve grinder into a dedicated single lip cutter grinder.
