I’m writing to let you know that, after nearly four years, I’ll be moving on from HomemadeTools.net at the end of this week.

I love HMT and am very proud of the strong community I’ve helped to build here. I know that it’ll continue to be successful going forward and that the future is bright.

That was great to read you, you have a real talent as an editor, and I did love the periodic topics you started like :
"What's the worst thing that's happened to you in the workshop " and so on ..

Your contributions, good will, and the fun you brought to HMT will be sorely missed. I personally appreciate what you did to help build this great forum. Never really been a "joiner" but thanks to you I did and grateful for it! You've been a great Admin and wordsmith and I cherish those dialogs on great topics and ideas. Plus, you've bailed me out a few times and I never did have to go to the penalty box. Thank YOU for all you brought to us on your watch!

I wish you the very best of luck and fun in your new adventures, and do hope as others do, that you pop in when you can to share some more!

To merely say that I'm honored and exceedingly touched by your posts in this thread would be a vast understatement. While I've never failed to be impressed with your individual creativity, resourcefulness, and skills as builders, the true gift I received from this community is of having made your acquaintance in the first place.

I've come to know each of you, to varying degrees, both from your public posts and the many PMs and emails we've shared. It's been the most consistently cordial and rewarding experience of my professional life. It's my sincerest wish to carry over and continue these relationships in my personal life.

While I will be monitoring the progress of this forum from afar, as it were, I will not be a regular presence. Most of you already have my direct email address; those who don't, but would like to receive it, please send me a PM in the next couple of days.
