Blue Marlin submerges to release cargo. This is the legendary internet famous "ship-shipping ship, shipping shipping-ships." And of course, as is mandatory on the internet these days, this is presented as a "world record" (transport of 18 barges).

Despite all that dramatic music, I still don't know how they unstack those ships. Anyone?

And then it submerges to float the final ships on the bottom of the stack? I guess I never thought about how a semi-submersible offloads stacked cargo.

Beats me. That's the reply that the person who published the video gave after someone asked how they're removed.
I'd think that they couldn't submerge the stack without flooding all but the topmost boat.

OK, seriously what about the "stickers" separating the levels & supporting the weight.I have no idea, however I'm not like the UK meterologist who until his mid 30's didn't know that lambs were actually small/young sheep!
The answer may be under a patent application or copyright so the Chinese dont copy.LOL. Wait for the next episode.

This must have been an intentional maneuver since after the logs were unloaded the barge still retained its list which either the ballast tanks had been flooded to cause the list by order accidently. I don't buy accidently since valves must be opened and pumps operated to shift the ballast from one side to the other
