Muscle car throws an axle on public street - GIF

I've never thrown an axle before; it's on my bucket list, although preferably not on a public street. And not captured on a dashcam either, because I don't want people to see the stupid things I did before I threw the axle.

Why no, I don't want to replace the 28-spline limited-slip 9" Ford in my '68 Cougar with anything Mopar. But thank you for asking.

I think that's just distortion from the microphone on the potato they used to get the video being overwhelmed by the tone of the guy's voice bouncing around inside the cabin. The Dart's exhaust and a bit of tire squealing seems to be about the same volume as the woman's laugh, and those two come through clearly.

Actually the U-joints held, it was how the axel was attached to the frame that failed. If the U-joints had failed we would just see a whipping driveshaft.

That's what happens when you try to weld the 4 link brackets on with a too small welding machine

Better for them the front uni didn't let go first. Guess they were repaid for their Charger ing.
