This tape dispenser was made from an old box fan.
The back, bottom and front were cut from the corner of the box such that the front was folded up and the rounded corner at the back. The sides cut from additional areas of the box and welded in place. The roll holder is a piece of 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipe with washers welded on each end and filled with steel shot, sand and fiberglass resin (weighs in at 2 lbs). The blade assembly is an old hacksaw blade folded lenghthwise to about 110 degrees; sharpened from the bottom side and held in place by a 1/4 inch steel rod (polished) welded to a piece of 16 ga. steel 3/4 inch wide (tape keeper assy). The screws are set to pinch the blade and tape keeper together and limit the blade from moving down. The bottom has a piece of anti-skid mat glued with spray glue to hold the dispenser in place.
It will hold up to six 1 inch wide rolls of tape at once.
