From what little I know about it this would be the line that you take from the lower camp area to the upper camp area, I am wondering if anybody can use the passing lane then cut back in line if someone else wants to pass them as well? I bet the crowd is a lot thinner after reaching the high camp area.

One slip and 50 people end up back at base camp really fast! I don't see all the dead bodies littered around like in the stories though.

I would imagine the lines thin out considerably faster as they pass by an increasing number of unrecovered corpses leading up to "Rainbow Valley," where the Mountain's love for its hikers is on full display.
