    Certainly true.

    I remember reading somewhere that back in the day, before the advent of modern machinery, flat window glass was made this way. Perhaps they're reproducing the look of that type of glass for the restoration of historic buildings.

    The pyramid at the Louvre was bad enough. Imagine if they were to replace all the broken glass in Notre Dame with dead flat tinted safety glass.
