When I rode, I always wore a good helmet even when not required. Didn't figure my head was worth much to anybody but me but I'm kind of attached to it

You'd look pretty weird with it squashed flat, too. I've mentioned that my uncle built racing go karts, before. He also sold only Bell Star Full-face helmets for his customers. Wore them himself, and insisted his kids wear them when they were racing. When I started riding, I bought a Bell Star Full-face helmet. IIRC, it cost more than the motor cycle I was riding. Not a lot more, but...

My first helmet was not a full face, not even sure what the brand was I bought it with the little Honda 50. My dad came dragging an older Harley 45 home one day, he rolled it out of the back of his pickup and left it laying on its side, with it was a 3/4 bucket, Boy, when you can pick that thing up and get it running it's yours. After a few months of tearing it down nearly to the last bolt and repainting it as I put it back together my dad and I had the thing going. One not so chilly spring morning I jumped on it and rode it to school instead of driving my 49 Plymouth. Once at school it was still early, I tossed the extra helmet to my girlfriend and said put that on if you want to go for a ride. EUWWW it will ruin my hair, another girl grabbed it and put it on, said I'd like a ride. Fine you are now my girlfriend, we rode around the block when we got back another girl piped up and asked can I be your girlfriend too as she donned the helmet. I quickly became the most popular and the most unpopular kid in junior high or high school, with girlfriends ranging from the 8 grade through seniors, that lasted until some rich town kid got a new 68 corvette for graduation

Was that a cell phone that flew out of his hand and landed to the right side of the frame?

This one almost looks like the helmet prevented him from being crushed against the wall.

WOW! So much happening there. Right rear wheel lockup with great traction. The fact the guy didn't get killed and he dropped nothing and got the heck outta there...
