Exactly Frank, why he should have seen he was not at the top but 3 feet away. but you sorta have to admire his willingness and ability to make the climb.

It may have been a shear drop-off on the other side!

there is that. like riding over the rail of an iron rail bridge one side just a fall of about 20 feet the other could be an 100 feet down
I actually got drunk enough to do that twice

He may have stalled the engine when he slowed near the top.

I'll bet he had to use a different bike if he wanted to try again on the same day

    and different shorts
my last time on a track( motorcross track) I was going through cancer treatment...radiation...lots of it... I figured I would give it one last run....I was almost dead before I unloaded my bike...it only spit me off once. Im gladd I had put on my yamaha extra thick very nice life vest...I didnt feel a thing. I did pass a few newer bikes(mine is a 79 yz 250) I had a blast. and had to have somebody else put the bike back in the truck.. after that it just gets ridden around the house& neighborhood. I did do a lot of drag racing after that but it was car stuff.top sportsman&promod, now Im done with that.I cant hardly do squat. I no longer run a performance machine shop. just piddle at home with my stuff. everything fast is gone. and it drives me nuts.
