Reading about the Titan debacle today I came across this gem...
If the missing Titan submersible were near the Titanic, it would experience pressure higher than that of a great white shark bite.
Sadly, it wan on the Scientific American page, a magazine I used to respect.

The Titanic is at a depth of 12,400 feet where the pressure is about 375 atmospheres so the pressure acting on the Titan was about 5500 psi or about 38 MPa.
