I needed a beefy fly cutter with a wide sweep so I cobbled this together and attached it to an R8 arbor that was fitted out to drive a less than satisfactory face mill supplied with my mill drill. The construction is fairly obvious but there is one nuance. One of the cutters is set 0.005" lower than the other and on a slightly smaller cutting radius. Thus it performs a finish pass right behind the main cutter which removes the bulk of the material.
