I ran across this website searching for homemade soldering tool ideas. It feels more comfortable than most of the DIY forums. So I'll check it out and hopefully get some good ideas.

My whole life I have always attempted to repair broken things on my own. I started "fixin" stuff at the age of five when I successfully swapped out a D-pad from my NES controller. From then on I've been a DIY guy.

I've been building computers as a hobby for a couple of years now and have made, modified or re-purposed more than a few tools. I built a custom work/test bench out of a bunch of junk, I'll post some pics later.

So let's share some ideas, swap a little knowledge and get some work done.

    Hi chobbs1987 - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

That's a good fix for a 5-year old! I'm surprised mine didn't break back in the day from all of that up-up-down-down-left-right-left-right-b-a-start action!

How is the work/test bench build going?
