I have seen some machining videos where they soak a part in liquid nitrogen to get it to shrink to provide a tighter than press fit fit (when the other part is way too big to thoroughly heat.)
I was just wondering if it could be bought. I know they fill car tires with Nitrogen for temperature stability and to keep the rims from rusting. My Mini-Cooper came with it in the tires, but when I had the tires replaced they wanted to charge me $5-10 per tire to refill it with Nitrogen.
I remember in sixth grade in school, a representative from NASA came to the school and did a presentation, showed off a space suit etc. He had liquid Oxygen and stuck a small piece of garden hose in it, took it out and rapped it on the table and it shattered.
