Beautiful work, Joe. Thanks for showing us your work.

casting kits for model machine tools make up into fascinating miniatures (I know; I've built them all) that actually work just as the originals did. To see just how realistic they can be, see the video I submitted in this post...
model of steam-era machine shop
J. L. Madill, a genius Canadian model builder, constructed an immensely detailed diorama of a working, steam-era machine shop in which all the machine tools are built from the PMR casting kits.
However, as Joe points out, these are not kits for beginners. (It took me a whole summer to build the lathe) and many of the parts are very tiny. They're all doll house scale - inch to the foot - so imagine constructing a working Morse taper drill and socket at that scale.

I always marvel at guys who have not only the talent the patience and are willing to devote time in pursuit of their hobbies This build is another of those which shows someone with true talent for precise intricate work
Marv, I'm trying to put my head around what MT0 to MT2 adapter would look like at 1/12th scale
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products
