    Mini-mill to surface grinder 'conversion'

I was really hesitant to try this thinking the results would be poor and I'd prematurly age the mill. Really pleased with the results though and so simpe! I just used an arbor from a brocken old angle grinder and turned up some flanges from 'bean can' aluminium. They clamp a grinding stone I already had and we were off to the races

I guess in this case I was lucky in that the motion came from the assembly I was grinding (it's a rotating ball nut adaptor for the CNC we've been making and we needed the surface precisely concentric to the rotation). That took away some of the drudgeries of having to turn mill handles to move the y- table back and forth. But with an electric drill that wouldn't be so bad? Anyone else done this? I don't see it shown as a hack?

Excellent work, sir. I was concerned about the bearings not being up to the task, but you proved out your work with the dial indicator. I just subscribed to your channel. You have some interesting projects.

Wow! what a unique idea. That definitely gets one to thinking in different (good) ways.
