Brilliant work. Has inspired me as I need a tool post grinder/drill. If mine looks and works half as well as yours when it's finished I'll be happy.

Congratulations Stevohdee - your Mini Lathe Tool Post Grinder is the Homemade Tool of the Week!

After last week's winning Milling Machine Power Feed, that's two in a row for Stevohdee! On a tough week too, with multiple other excellent builds.

Like the Superbowl, nobody has ever won three Homemade Tool of the Week awards in a row. Previous two-in-a-row winners include:

Brendon in 2015: Marking Gauge and Dovetailing Bench
mklotz in 2016: Bench Block Enhancements and Model Cement Mixer
tonyfoale in 2016: Horizontal Milling Machine and Drum Brake Grinder
rossbotics in 2017: Tilting Dividing Fixture and Dial Indicator Attachment, and again for Center Punch Guide and Deburrer
thehomeengineer in 2018: Ring Roller and Axle Stands

Some good picks from this past week:

Congratulations Steveohdee, well Deserved!! If you keep this up, You are going to have lots of bling on your avatar before you know it! Great build and design and love the engraving (Wow) freehand!! Didn't quite get the detail of the magnetic standoffs but that's a Cool Idea! Really enjoyed the video and quality of shots and the lighting was great!

    Thanks for sharing with us!

Thanks pj, magnets are 5mm long, 4mm dia. The ones on motor side are mounted 3mm deep so to give 2mm to position the other magnets in brass legs and keep guard straight. Have accidentally glued in wrong polarity on other projects, triple & quadruple checkin is neccessary when using these things as they can flip in a millisecond.

    Cheers
