mini lathe tool post grinder

Hello again guys,

Finally got around to making a tool post grinder. There has been numerous occasions over the years where one was needed. It is 2 speed, fixed height and can be reversed or flipped over for different tasks.









Much fun and swearing was had making the video (edited out all naughty words and stuff ups of course!)

What type of motor did you use

Motor is a 7000rpm 12volt dc from a child's ride on car. They are pretty common, have seen on ebay same size up to 15000 revs about 18 bucks au, 6500 revs about 11$

I'm looking with a lot more interest all childs with those disturbing mini cars now. ;-)
