    Not sure what they are doing here. Clearly the water wheel lifts water and pours it in the trough, but then the water is returned directly to the irrigation canal

    So it appears, they've edited the video just as the camera arrives at the discharge...

    If you stop the video at the .03 you can see the flow gate to the left of the discharge tubes. The way most canals work that have those gates are they are lowered a certain amount to allow the daily allotment of water to that particular field. This waterwheel is nothing more than a decoration

    The entire apparatus is moveable - 3 screws on each of the curb clamps.
    Perhaps they just made all the final adjustments, or just made their sales pitch, and it will all be moved to where actual water lifting is required.
