My paper cartridge system. My version of the Manley cartridge former, made from Walnut and a Hickory mandrel, along with a die I turned and heat treated to make the end caps. This, along with the Johnston and Dow civil war era bullet mold from Era's Gone bullet molds makes an authentic civil war era paper cartridge for the 1860 Colt Army. I use nitrated coffee filters and 23 grains of 3F black powder.
