DSC5735 copy Was originally going to reuse the old crank shaft but decided to build anew. This compressor's shaft has a straight-cut and key-way for the outer plate -- many of the smaller cars I understand have a tapered shaft so making a new one was very easy. Turned end down to fit pulley then cut a key-way. The old one was externally threaded for a 5/16 nuts...I just reversed that the drilled and tapped a 5/16 hole there was enough meat that the key-way would cut into the tapped hole
