Retired Engineer (although last 22 years were in sales I have a decent workshop/gararge with lathe, bench drill, welder etc.) Waiting for house to sell to emigrate to Oz to join our daughters so "in limbo" having sold my old trials motorbikes etc. but still tinkering, especially renovating my 1948 Myford/Drummond lathe which will be going with me. Much prefer to make/bodge (professional bodge of course!) than buy parts. Recently made some copper washers and pins for the brake calipers on my car on a Sunday afternoon when the shops were shut. Always modifying stuff, currently modifying some home gym equipment using bits off an old tow bracket and bearings from a wheel chair.
