Here are three actual valves installed in the concrete structure. I did laminate an instruction sheet and attach it to the left valve so all users could learn the new system. The valves appear to be and are probably leaning, due to the concrete not being especially flat in the ditch bottom. All the 2X4's were intentionally cut somewhat narrow compared to the concrete to allow one size valve to fit in the slightly different size openings, and to allow for some non-perpendicular surfaces of the concrete. It is worth mentioning that the valves are not full height in the concrete for a good reason. If there is unexpected water flow in the ditch, or more flow than expected it is important for the water to be able to flow over the top of the valves before it overflows the ditch bank causing damage to the bank.
