    Interesting video effects which added interest for me but a bit long to watch a fail. A good attempt at repurposing the slicer but there is a reason why Tormeks cost so much. Look forward to your DIY Tormek build though.

    Just a hint but I would consider turning this one into a lapping tool by turning it horizontal. Your speed looks about right but don't know how much torque that motor has...don't need a lot but some. You can get various grit diamond lapping disk for about $15-$20 on ebay and Amazon.

    Thank you! You are right some parts of the video are too long. A lapping tool is also a very good idea, the torque should be high enough.
