Maslow is a CNC machine sized to work on a 4x8 sheet, that is being released on Kickstarter this week.
This is yet another (though possibly tiny!) step forward in the desktop manufacturing, ahem, "revolution" that we've been witnessing. What's interesting here is that Maslow is designed to work on a 4x8 workpiece, which of course is a common sheet goods dimension. Precision is 1/64th of an inch, and Maslow attaches to a basic router. Price is under $500.
Other Kickstarters we like: Desktop waterjet, Boxzy mill/laser engraver/3D printer, Codex Silenda, Picobrew home craft beer maker.
