Idiot! Guy could have died jumping off of that truck. Laid right down flat on the ground. Step potential is no joke.

Hitting a power line is not something you want to do and is usually due to not knowing your surroundings. If the electric didn’t get you while on the truck that is the safest place to be until it shuts down as it did after he jumped. He was a very lucky man in many ways.

The truck was not moving so it did not hit the power line! The guy was on the trailer I bet he did something.

Before digging, use an underground cable locator. It picks up an electromagnetic signal from the surface without any digging. This can help to trace and mark the full extent of the cable.

Looked to me like a crane or boom was in use to load the concrete blocks. Probably no-one put out the “overhead power lines” signs so it wasn’t his fault… 😉

I as well thought it appeared the man was operating a crane hoisting the locks or whatever they were and ran the crane into power lines. At that point he should’ve never jumped off the truck. I’ve heard stories where followed the operator to ground and killed them.
