    Seriously, aren't all fishing rods just toys? Some way more expensive than others, some big some small, but all are toys. Unless used commercially.

    First fish I caught was on Fisherman's Wharf using a drop line, thin green twisted line. A halibut. It took quite awhile to get that fish up...

    I did have to throw the halibut back because it was too small. I'm sure it died falling 60 or 70 feet to the water...

    There was a Olympic diving team of halibut, but none never qualified.
