I wonder if he fainted on the way down or hit something?

The guy who fell was trying to get up after being rescued but the guy held him down probably until help arrives and until it could be determined if he had any internal injuries.

Nah I like mine better. I used to work on a job site where one of the guys would always (jokingly) offer to give CPR to anyone with the tiniest injury, then act disappointed when they declined. It was pretty funny.

Puzzling sequence of events. As I see it, the big guy appears to have jumped down the last few steps. Then was distracted while he put something down on the floor. While he was away from the ladder, the bottom of the ladder slipped out and the ladder fell. The top guy falling seems delayed, he came down a bit after the ladder was already down.

Looks to me like the big guy should have been holding he ladder in place, rather than having two guys up on that whimpy ladder. If was nice of him to catch his co-worker.

    Maybe it was his wife?
