Always fascinating. About age 9 or 10 I got the Ashley Book of Knots out of the local library,(or rather my Mum did as it was in the adult section),and Dad helped me build a simple rope maker which I used to twist up some flax into cord for rabbit snares. Amazing how often stuff you did as a kid comes in handy as an adult.
