    Thanks for reminding me about this! I did indeed get the vise, and opened a dialogue with the inventors regarding some questions I had about the use of a white Delrin spherical bearing. I think there was actually some debate among the two inventors about whether to include the bearing, or whether to violate their "greaseless" concept, or what else to do.

    I will say that everything else about the vise was quite impressive. I'm not sure how much "lite" work I'll do, which is what the vise is designed for, but I was very happy to be a supporter of this Kickstarter.

    Paul - what do you think about it? I'm talking about this white plastic piece. Am I crazy to think that a Delrin piece is inappropriate here?

    Jon,

    This is a light duty vice and I use it only with the drill press and cross-cutting on the table saw and miter saws (very square wood holding in horizontal and vertical cutting for finish carpentry). I don't think the Delrin piece is inappropriate but it limits the heavy duty use of the vise. The vice is nicely made.
