Not bad at all. Not everyone needs, even less have room for a full time table an inch thick.
We are suspicious about the hospital-clean floor though......

Never considered a sheet-metal welding table, I prefer something will take more than a couple lb of steel before deflecting... 3/8" minimum.

I'd think that you could use thicker steel without changing the design, though the unframed edges of the sheets/plates would have to be chamfered where they pass each other when opening and closing the top.

Congratulations Kwandotechnic - your Extendable Folding Table is the Homemade Tool of the Week!

Bike sprockets are popular now among homemade tool builders, but their inclusion is often primarily aesthetic. This is a good example of using bike sprockets for a useful mechanism.

Some more nice builds from this week:

    Tapping Stand by morsa
    Jointing Jig by Didpoolhall
    Cam Clamps by bongodrummer
    Desoldering Station by ercaneverything
    Chop Saw Attachment by orioncons36
Preheat/Postheat Welding Table by Topper Machine
    Cyclone Separator by Didpoolhall
    Cross Drilling Guide by rgsparber
    Steel Mesh Bender by troyhaack

Kwandotechnic - you'll be receiving a $100 online gift card, in your choice of Amazon, PayPal, or bitcoin. Please PM me your current email address and gift card choice and I'll get it sent over right away.

This is your 4th Homemade Tool of the Week win. Here are both of your Homemade Tool of the Week winning tools. Congrats again
