I needed a branding iron with my logo, but I didn’t want to spend the money to have one made up for me. I looked around my shop to see what I had for scrap materials and found some large brass bolts that could be used for the branding head. I also found some mild steel round bar, and some leftover wooden dowel.
I dug out my Dremel tools and attachments, and set to work. I documented the process in this video, so you too can make your own branding iron with your own logo.
I found out what works and what doesn’t. I made a few mistakes as well, and it’s all shown here. I didn’t bother to edit any of it out. I hope this video provides a few ideas and inspiration for you to try making your own.
