    But.... How did all the coins get there in the first place? Were they pulling up a stash they left when they were on the lam?

    There were a number of US steel pennies made in the early 40s because of the war. Do other countries use steel for coins, and why would there be a concentration of them only a few feet below the water surface? Would have liked to see the reaction by bank officials on these bags of slugs.
