re Post 1. Neat mechanism, but what ever is in that second trolley shelf will be a loo-ong reach, and laying on the floor accessing the bottom.

I know why such mechanisms exist. 90% of speculative tract home builders haven't spent truly significant time in a kitchen; neither have their professors.
Lot of machine shops have same problem, on a different basis. Many owners have only worked in one!
