Every month or so I have to do a test on both altitude pressure switches on 737's and normally you have to dismount the switches to gain access to the plug to remove it. After you remove the plug you install a test filtting and bring the altitude up to 9000 to 11000 feet using a pitot static test box until the altitude horn and indications sound and illuminate. I dicided to machine a special tool that allows me to remove the plug without dismounting the switch thus saving tons of time and making the job much easier.
