Also while digging in my storage today I discovered my old louver cutter
I found the Whittney C frame about 25 years ago in a salvage yard without any punches or dies. At that time I was doing some aluminum siding jobs and thought it would make a nice louver punch for venting the soffits
I welded a few pieces together then milled a grove in a piece of bar stock then cut a blade out of an old concrete saw blade a little grinding to shape the cutting edge was all there was to it and now after all these years while looking in my storage area I found it again. A little PB blaster to the moving parts and it still cuts louvers in aluminum like a dream
