Anyone with a CDL soon learns why the US DOT requires 2 straps on each row of pallets or a single strap is side kits or tarps are used

I used to work at a place that did all sorts of testing including shake and bake. We had small and BIG voice coil vibrators and also motor driven ones. I remember testing inert rockets (couple of foot long range) with live fuses in shipping crates. Had to shake them until the crate fell to pieces and the fuse had to not go off. We normally left that end of the building when those tests were going on.
