A few months ago I decided to get my 1972 Miller big 40 welding machine running. I hadn't used it since 2013. After cleaning the points changing the oil and filter, drained the coolant and refilled with fresh, put a battery and gas in it the thing started right up. Gas was pouring out the carb since the float had rotted off the gas tank leaked from a hole rusted in it. some of the wiring was rat or mouse eaten, and only 2 of the range selections still worked due to broken connectors, But it ran sort of.

A new carburetor, ign. switch, choke cable, wiring from the alt to the switch removed the top cowling and gas tank repaired the broken range selections dropped on a temporary gas tank Then used it for a week to power my carbon arc gouge while working on a dozer.

OK now I need a way to move it around instead of having to carry it with my backhoe. I built this little trailer out of scrap laying around.

An old steering axle from a 48 Chevy truck a framework that used to hold sheet metal a couple of in the bed side toolboxes a new hitch coupler and jack a pair of 40-year-old white wall tires from a camper trailer with new inner tubes, some sheet metal from a sign I had taken down some pipe. This is what I wound up with
