not trying to start a fight, but is it better to let the un-burnt fuel dissipate, or better to have complete combustion into the atmosphere? - why?
I know a few solid/ liquid waste disposal companies who burnt certain products at night so the local people can't see the smoke, and they burn other products in the day because the smoke is essentially clear. Purely from a non perception issue - is it better to completely burn the longer chain/ larger molecules to smaller gasses, or is there a benefit in leaving them larger/ longer - ie un-burnt?
Back in the day, I worked at a large oil and chemicals plant complex. There was someone who would light a very high flare during operational upsets using a bow and flaming arrow. I never witnessed it but it was common knowledge, there.
It would have really been cool to have Plant Archer on a résumé!!
