Light bulb factory reset process insanity - video

Light bulb factory reset process insanity. Is this a joke? Or a harbinger of the impending downfall of our society? I still don't know. 3:01 video:

Good lord. I will say, I love that little brass candle holder, that's obviously intended to mimic the aesthetic of the lamp.

Taking the "smart" out of smart appliances. They're too cheap to have a reset button on the unit, so they waste a ton of the customer's time... somebody's careers should be on the chopping block.

Are you kidding? Someone probably got a promotion for figuring out how to save $.02 per bulb...

Hmmmm. My outdoor light, an analog timer, set by detents around a dial. The porch, a light sensitive cell. The others I turn off, once; and go to bed. Being able to tell time close to 60 years now the programmable thermostat hasn't been a challenge.
If 'smart' was so smart, it would finally relent to my settings and cease stream of trending articles on my phone. And the sh*t is just moronic.
I haven't seen one single 'smart' item to interest me.
Could a burglar case a house and hack the lamps to their advantage? Come on in dude. The next light you'll see is called a muzzle blast.
