Sadly, thieves will have stripped it well before a century has passed!

Or you may have to strip it off yourself and melt it down for casting bullets to defend yourself against most governments of the world

I have just received an email telling me that the European Chemicals Agency intends to put lead in all its uses on a strictly controlled authorisation protocol, preventing its use without a special permit. This is of particular concern to conservators and manufacturers of leaded glass, but would also prevent the setting of ironwork in masonry. Lead on roofs of course would be banned entirely. Even museums would not be allowed to conserve leaden artefacts without a permit. Although the UK is no longer in the EU, it is entirely possible that laws will passed that follow the ban.
