Laying railroad cable troughs - GIF

    Laying railroad cable troughs.

I guess these are for various control/sensor cables? I've never seen this before, but at first glance it does appear to be quite an elaborate setup for laying troughs.

I notice that the human on the ground is living up to why some people are only worth minimal wage. Does this man have no pride? Or are his eyecromiters maladjusted?

Curious, I searched and found this opening paragraph on a site for a cable trough supplier:

    FP McCann Cable Protection Troughs

Cable Troughs are designed for railway and highway applications to carry power and communication cables. FP McCann manufacture and stock over 30 different types of “C” cable protection troughs and lids. All service cables including electricity cables and trunking are completely protected from accidental damage or acts of vandalism whilst allowing for ease of access to maintenance teams.

Sure beats the way they used to lay ATT Longline cables deep underground through specialized clay pipe.
