    Lathe Tool Height Setting Gage

My new Lathe Tool Height setting gage. 6061 Alu base & knob, stainless rod 3/8" & height bar, Brass 1/4" rod, 1/4-28 Nylok nut. I got tired of eyeballing the height. Made from the scrap box.Lathe Tool Height Setting Gage-lathetoolgage1_1.jpgLathe Tool Height Setting Gage-lathetoolgage2_1.jpgLathe Tool Height Setting Gage-lathetoolgage3_1.jpgLathe Tool Height Setting Gage-lathetoolgage4_1.jpg

    Paul Jones's Tools
I like the design and have all the parts in my scrap box. I am planning to make one this weekend. Thanks for the idea and the great photos.

Thanks for sharing Catfish. Great tool. Simple and easy to construct. Would be a nice project for metalworking newbies.

Forgive me if I missed something but is it adjustable? If so why would it need to be?
