greenie, where do you see a pain factor? Especially how would your leg or hip get up there to get hit?

A dislike button would be hit for a lot of the presented projects. This one I liked/Thanked.

Anybody who contemplates this idea will still have to factor in, what value they put on P-A-I-N.

It is an accident just waiting to happen and your hip or leg, will love you for adding it to your lathe, just make sure your health insurance is fully paid up.

You ask for the thanks button to be hit, but maybe the moderator should also add a DISLIKE button for silly ideas, think you would get more of the later.

Yes, we need an Ignore list with increasing levels of distance.

Ignore with Extreme Prejudice, perhaps.

I personally could not have one like that, it would always be in my way,weather my hands or just in my eyesight as a distraction. but thats me,I dont mind somebody else using something thats not for me.some good thinking went into it. there are many ways to skin cats. keep all the ideas coming!!!! good, bad, finished or not all ideas can be of great help and we can build on to the ideas or just use one aspect of them that we did not see before. And to me comments on anything from color to safety to functionality are welcome as somebody else may not see what we see or I see or you see. Do not chew on somebody for being concerned or adding to a idea or tool. that's what this forum is hear for...well for me any way. remember we all have something thats not right for somebody else.or ..we just missed the mark on it... a little or a lot. just keep the tools and ideas and the comments coming!!!!

and always remember...if you dont like something somebody else builds...you can make your own that fits your needs possiably with little change to fit your needs.
